Commentary David Loosli
Second day in Vaduz. Today it’s the battle against the clock. For this time trial course it’s “ladies first”! The route is identical to that of the men. 25 flat kilometres have to be completed by the women in the morning. A rather long time trial in women’s cycling is tailor made for the specialists in the fight against the clock. It is important to gain a second or two to make an impact on General Classification standings. This is especially true for cyclists who are not strong in the mountains.
Vaduz is home to the royal residence and Capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein.
Bordered by Austria and Switzerland, Liechtenstein offers a wide range of activities for outdoor enthusiasts.
The famous Vaduz Castle towers over the town and is the home of the Princely Family.
